Part 1: PURIFICATION AND RESILIENCE
SESSIONS ONE TO SIX
These sessions will present the Breath of Purification and the Breath of Resilience. While very different in practice and effects these two breath work practices are based on accessing, developing and strengthening the same core muscles. These muscles are both structural an d respiratory.
The Breath of Purification gently flushes your tissues, including your brain, cleansing and oxygenating them. Its effortless practice will leave you calm, clear and refreshed. This is a subtle practice that depends on the minimum necessary muscular effort possible.
The Breath of Resilience cleanses your lungs, relaxes respiratory muscles and activates the parasympathetic nervous system, inducing the relaxation response, from your breathing. The more often you practice the more your sympathetic nerves (and the flight/fight/freeze response) will remain quiet and you will enjoy a state of relaxed alertness.
Both practices induce a state of calm alertness while strengthening the deeper respiratory muscles of your core. The muscles also provide core strength and stability.
Session 1,2,3,5 and 6 are over two hours long, should be done in sequence, but each can be done in stages. Session 4 has a shorter practice, followed by questions and answers. The first part can be used for ongoing, regular practice that focusses on the Breath of Purification and the Breath of resilience.

SESSIONS SEVEN TO TWELVE
These sessions will present the Breath of Power and the Breath of Coherence. The Breath of Power develops the muscular power required of the Breath of Coherence.
These two powerful practices directly strengthen the core muscles of the spine and abdomen, supporting optimal and deep breathing, while providing the muscular availability for the core bandhas. At the same time they will release and rejuvenate your diaphragm and enhance your vertical posture. Together they provide the perfect initiation to a daily morning practice of energising and centering.
