MINDFULNESS & MEDITATION: PROFESSIONAL TRAINING
This hybrid 108 hour training course will provide you with not only all the tools you need to guide people into the peaceful depths of their own presence. It will also provide you with a clear understanding of human psychology and how it can be navigated into states of deep peace and a lucid clarity in everyday life.
It is open to anyone wishing to help others to become more at peace with themselves, others and the world, or simply wishing to establish a deeper understanding of human nature and intelligence.
The first four, themed, modules will be for your own embodiment and take you deep into the subtleties of human intelligence. This will provide you with a lucid, experiential understanding of the dynamics of human experience, and the deconstruction of perception at the heart of the meditative experience. They will be presented in everyday language, free from spiritual and scientific jargon, so that you can more easily find your way within the subtleties of your own experience.
The first module will be based on the core Buddhist Mindfulness texts: Annapanasati Sutta and Satipatthana Sutta, and will explore the Buddha's understanding of different states of consciousness and factors of meditation and mindfulness.
The second module will be based on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, and will include reference to the role that yama and niyama play in supporting the infolding of awareness through dharana, dhyana and samadhi.
The third module will be based on the the art of somatic meditation for everyday life, and will use intimacy with the body to pacify and clarify the mind into its source: awareness, or the Intelligent Presence of Consciousness.
The fourth module will be based on the the art of non-doing, with reference to both Zen and Dzogchen. Each module will include practice of sitting (meditation), the second will include lying down (yoganidra).
The fifth module will explore the art of teaching, based on your experience in the first four modules. In practice this is the art of talking people into silent stillness, both sitting and lying down. This will include:
