Somatic Retuning is an experiential immersion in conscious awareness of the body: somatic awareness training. This allows your mind to become embodied by and in somatic intelligence. It also precipitates an intelligence shift from the Cognitive Intelligence of mind through the Somatic Intelligence of the body to the Spiritual Intelligence of Consciousness.
Somatic Retuning rests on a simple, safe, accessible movements that recalibrate the motor and structural muscles. This recalibration is one of integration, rather than lengthening or strengthening. The techniques have been selected to establish this integration by way of whole body movement, action and awareness (immersion in wholeness). They mobilise all the motor joints, and integrate all the motor muscles. This provides a foundation of Biomechanical Integrity that can be applied to all other movements.
The movements in these sessions will immerse you in physical sensations. It is this immersion, not mobility, agility or ability, that creates ease in your body by embodying your mind in the stability of somatic intelligence.
Through repetitive, consistent praxis your body will recover its inherent ability to act as a functional unit (in dynamic singularity). Then experience takes place more and more within and as an expression of wholeness. As your body develops the capacity to function as a single whole, muscles that were chronically short will lengthen, those that were weak will strengthen.
Mobilising and recalibrating (retuning) your body is beneficial to body, mind, and mood. By continuously tuning in to the flow of sensations, mind becomes quieter, clearer and calmer. This calming clarity is an expression of its grounding in the Power of Consciousness.
These sessions are suitable for anyone able to walk upstairs unaided, even those who do not own a yoga mat!
