FROM THE INTELLIGENCE OF YOUR BODY
Yoga Posture Practice is perhaps the most potent invitation to a life well lived and fully embodied. However this is only true when your practice is based on the wisdom and power of Natural Intelligence. Somatic Yoga, as taught by Godfrey, is based directly on the 'somatic' intelligence of the body.
Unconstrained by ideologies and methodologies of tradition it provides a direct path to the spiritual intelligence of Consciousness. Pathways of Wholeness are opened in the postures by the Dynamic of Integrity, into the spontaneous activation of the bandhas in the whole of your body.
These pathways will be deepened in Somatic Meditation, and stabilised in Somatic Attunement, through which you will be immersed in the nourishing and fortifying richness of your Spiritual Nature. These pathways will open from your body into your Spiritual Heart, allowing you to embody its peace, joy and generosity into your daily life.
The retreat is suitable for anyone able to walk upstairs unaided looking for a deeper and richer experience of being human. No prior experience of yoga or meditation is required. Nor do you need any extremes of flexibility, agility or strength. There will be seven hours of embodiment practice each full day. This includes posture, pranayama and meditation practice.
